The Solution We Presented

Veraqor designed and implemented a comprehensive integration solution to connect the data from the smart-pill technology to a third-party, cloud-based analytical system. Our team approached the problem by first mapping out a scalable architecture that could manage the continuous influx of data from 40,000+ employees and affiliates across 24 countries.

This architecture ensured that the data gathered would be available for real-time analysis, supporting the pharmaceutical’s current needs while allowing for future scalability.

The technical solution included:

  1. Data Collection and Transmission: The smart pill, upon ingestion, activated a bio-digestible chip powered by body heat, emitting signals to a wearable patch. This patch then transmitted various health metrics—including body temperature, heart rate, and pill ingestion events—to a smart device, which relayed the data to a Big Data repository in the cloud.
  2. Cloud-Based Integration and Transformation: Utilizing open-source technologies, Veraqor developed a robust REST API infrastructure to facilitate seamless data transfer between the smart device application and the cloud repository. We implemented Java as the core transformation language, handling the data in real-time to ensure compatibility with the third-party analytical platform.
